Compact 45 ft multiband End Fed antenna usable from 40 Meters to 10 Meters with the use of a wideband antenna tuner.  May be used on 40 and 20 Meters without the aid of an antenna tuner in some situations (see VSWR plot below).  The transformer is designed with a low power single core 4:1 voltage Unun.  This design provides a direct DC ground for effective static dissipation.  The transformer housing is made with American products (except for the UHF connector), consisting of a ABS plastic housing, plus all stainless steel mounting hardware for years of trouble free service.  Ideal for portable or attic installations where space limitations are a concern.  Makes a good companion to stations like the Elecraft K/KX series, FT-817, IC703, and other QRP radios.  Also is a great shortwave receive antenna that can be used from 400 KHz to 108 MHz.

Hi, Michael,

 

It was a pleasure running into your booth at the Peoria (IL) this past weekend.  I purchased one of your SE-EF4010 antennas, as did my buddy, and with the beautiful day today I thought I'd try it out.  I purchased the antenna with portable operation in mind, so I set up my IC-7000 on a table in the back yard and hoisted the antenna in a tree.  Within minutes I was on the air and made the following contacts, all sideband, with 75 Watts:

 

DL5ANT in Germany on 15 meters

CE4CT in Chile on 10 meters

KD8DZ in Ohio on 40 meters

 

I'm thrilled!  The antenna works as well or better than I

hoped.
